Even in ancient times, natural stone mosaic and tiles were used to artfully design surfaces in temples or on other objects. At that time the marble was quarried in quarries and applied individually to the surface to be processed. Today the material for the natural stone mosaic or the tiles is obtained with the water jet cutting process. This process is computer-controlled and therefore absolutely precise and gentle on the material. In many places the natural stone mosaic is glued onto so-called mats and finally offered as finished tiles.
